Re: My gz250
Looks nice!
Hope you wear a helmet with a face mask. I had a bike once without a front fender. Even on a bright and sunny day someone was washing their car and I thought nothing of the fact while I drove through a bunch of water that was streaming/running down their driveway (and had gone into the street). That is until I got sprayed in my face by my front tire. LOL. Hasn't happened since.

Re: My gz250
I ride without fenders and I have to agree a face mask is a must.
I'm a firm believer in full helmets after I was riding about 2 months and rabbit ran out in front of me and I skidded on my face for 15-20 feet. Luckily I had my helmet on or else this would have been my face. |

Anything less than full face is absolutely pointless:

Re: My gz250
It's not mine. I just used this one to prove a point.
There have been numerous studies done and they all have one conclusion. Anything less than a full face helmet is worthless. Have a friend put a belt sander on the end of a baseball bat and hit you in the face with it. It's essentially the same thing. I've been down twice. Once was nothing major and only bruised my palms through my gloves and made me sore. The other time, even being athletic and having the state of mind to tuck and roll, would have pulled my jaw off of my face if I hadn't had my helmet on, and strapped properly. Every single rider will eventually fall. It goes without question. When it happens, the only thing that you have to help keep you alive is what you are wearing. HUMOR |

Re: My gz250
Love the pic Jonathan.
I catch hell from the guys I work with cause I wear a helmet, gloves and a thick jacket along with me steel toe boots. Nothing has convinced me more than the spill I took. I took a tumble and came out with some bruises and missing about a dime worth of skin on a couple fingertips but if I didn't have it I could definitely see myself in the hospital if not much worse. |
