The Longest Wait
This is quite a story about "another generation’’ which will be missed for all time, and the term "'till death do us part’’ is not always applicable. What a gentle soul.

Yes, that is quite a story. A young man gave his "All" for folks he didn't even know. I t is wonderful that he is honored in France and his body was eventually returned to the U.S. My heart goes out to his bride who waited so long for an answer.

Re: The Longest Wait
Amazing story, but, isn't it sad that she wasted (for lack of a better word) her one time on this earth. Had she been told in 1944, she might have remarried and gone on to have a family.
Still a wonderful tribute to true love and dedication... a rarity in this world now.
