Re: Crashed in the rain

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.
I have found a few more sore parts this morning.
My ring finger and the palm of my hand have a couple of bruises.

Re: Crashed in the rain

JWR, glad you were not seriously injured. It is a good feeling to be able to get back up and ride away from the wreck even if the bike has some damage. I've done it both ways, being able to ride off and leaving in the ambulance and I'll take the ride away any time I have the choice.

Sad that your bike got so banged up though. I hope the insurance treats you fairly. When I went down last Spring they wanted to total my bike, but I opted to take a reduced payout and fix it and sell it which put another grand in my pocket over the straight insurance payout, and in my case, nothing but cosmetic stuff was damaged on my bike, no frame, forks or drive train damage, so it was just a matter of buying new grips, mirrors and pegs and such.

Again, glad you were not seriously hurt.

Re: Crashed in the rain

Thanks BB,

It all depends on the buy back price as to which direction I will go.
