Your clear blue skies and warmer temps are what I am seeing. Our location sees a lot of overcast and rain during winter. A bit north up in Whistler is cooler with clear skies and snow. World class ski hills and all that good stuff.
Being the Outdoors Recreation Capital of Canada is quite a bonus for folks in Squamish. It is really sort of sad that I never developed any interests in so many of the activities here. But I do get to ride and see all the beautiful sites whenever the weather allows me to ride. Been kicking around the idea of real winter tires on the Ranger and some travelling to relieve some mid winter boredom. Maybe after Christmas and the new year.
