I am back, sort of....
I am a new old owner of a GZ250, but not just any GZ, it was the same one I already previously owned.
I sold it to my nephew a couple of years ago, he pretty much trashed it, one of my cousins bought if from him, patched it back together, and sold it to my Niece (her brother is the nephew that had it), then she rode it up to my house for a visit a few weeks ago, and I talked her out of it. My wife has been wanting to learn how to ride, so I bought it for her, I only paid 300 bucks for it, so if she drops it, it wont really matter much, and when she gets done learning on it if she still wants to ride we will sell it to someone else for 300 bucks and let them learn to ride on it, and get her another bike, or I will make a dirt bike out of it   .

Sounds like the bike had some hard times trying to find it's way back home to you. Nice to hear your wife wants to ride too.

Not hardly, I just went out and started tearing it down, it has the air filter I put in it when i sold it TWO YEARS AGO. I took the spark plug out, the electrode was so worn, that the gap was .065 inches!!! So they wouldn't have known if there was a problem anyways. But I bought it cheap enough that as long as it holds up long enough for my wife to learn how to ride or decide she doesn't want to ride at all, I will have gotten my moneys worth. That being said, I think after some TLC, it will still be in pretty good shape, one thing about the GZ, it might not go 100 or be the flashiest bike on the planet, but it is strong as an ox, you obviously can't kill one even if you try (because it sure appears like they tried, and failed).

It's the Sisterhood of the Traveling GZ. Or something like that.

Something like that indeed. It is still very weird to see it sitting back in the garage, haven't really had time to ride it (or mine for that matter), I have never had a vehicle, gotten rid of it, then aquired it back, like I said, very, very weird.

Re: I am back, sort of....
I have wanted to reacquire vehicles many times over. I would give anything if I could have my '88 Celica GT back.... that thing blew up one morning while taking my siblings to school and we sold it off to a place that wanted to rebuild it. I don't know what ever happened to it.

Re: I am back, sort of....
The only thing I ever sold and missed was a Suzuki 1978 GT750. 1978 was the last year for them and would be neat to have it back now.
