Re: Will a sportster "peanut tank" fit?

Does the savage front brake rotor fit the gz caliper? Or did u use a savage caliper? If u did is the savage calipers brake line long enough for ape hangers?

Dan,
I used the axle and caliper of the GZ, but had to use the spacers that came with the setup of the Savage (Front end). As for the alignment of the wheel, it was a tad off actually. Not too much, but enough to nag me. But I was able to center and align everything perfectly. I will add those to the "how to" for my bike. Until then, if you get a hold of a savage wheel before my "how to", PM me and I'd gladly walk you through what I did. It makes the bike look MUCH bigger now. I'll take the pics tomorrow during daylight.

Thanks!
Ken

Gotta love a fellow modder. Nice job on the bike. Almost makes me want to pick up a cheap one again and make it in to a "Kikker 5150" replica.

Thanks Dupo! Means a lot. I'm proud of the bike. Just wish I could weld like the other member who built the bobber for his girl.

Anyway, the tank how to has been posted.
