Re: just wanted to say hello, and RC helicopter thread ....
i have a canon power shot sx210 is, it records in hd has a 14x optical zoom and has full manual controols if you want it is basically a small digital SLR or a point and shoot and a descent HD video camera, flips are extremely easy after you get a few of them out of the way and stop shaking all over from fear.. i learned flips on the SR with a tail motor with would cause to tail to blow out all over if you push it too had. but it did them... scarry stuff, the first tiem i did one with a belt drive tail i was like wow this is great and i sold the SR a few days later lol...
that SR 120 probably wont hurt the dog that is just a toy, i hit me self with the MSR all the time trying to haul ass around my living room. oince it hit me and both blades flew off. the SR120 is a bit more powerfull but it still wont chop you up, it might sting a bit unless you get hit in the eye. that might mess u up a bit.. if it were not 90k or more to get a heli liscens i would do it, it is way to expensive and i just cant afford it. i am starting to think i cant even afford to fly the rc ones lol... One of these days Lynda and I will be taking a heli ride to see the Squamish area from the sky. Could be fun even with my fear of falling and aversion to heights.

Re: just wanted to say hello, and RC helicopter thread ....
I just saw a mini-copter smaller than that with 2 rotors on top that has a video camera incorporated into the main body, viewing forward. I have to see if I can find it again on the web. Probably great for spying on the neighbors over the fence or other clandestine uses.

When I toured Lockheed Martin last Fall they told us they had Nano flying machines that could actually be in the room with us now and we wouldn't be able to detect them. Sounds like spy stuff to me.

I'm still waiting to teleport around the world and suffer from serious jet lag. Oh yeah, I would take the Vstrom to see the sights too. A week end ride could be anywhere in the world. Neat stuff.
