sounds to me he read the "max loading at max pressure" rating on the sidewall of the tire. that seems to be a common screwup by some less-educated service "techs" in both m/c and automotive maintenance. the other pressures are at least near what i would have guessed at to begin with. i was running Lori's bike at 25f/30r.
