Hi Everyone...Just got my GZ 250 this week and I'm having a blast so far! I'm a new rider (did do some riding on minibikes as a kid) so I'm taking it slow. I turn 50 next year, so this is my midlife crisis toy. :2tup: I've been riding in the neighborhood and getting to know the bike and shifting gears up and down. Yesterday I ventured out onto the public streets with traffic and got up to 45mph in 4th. Wow...what a rush! My GZ is red and came with a windscreen, saddlebags and sissybar/baggage rack, so I'm pretty set for add-ons right now. I'll post a picture soon. Look forward to being part of the forum.

Hey man,

I'm up in Dalton. This is a very forgiving bike to learn on. The gearing and power are very timid and the fuel economy is ranks up in the top 5 of prodcution motorcycles. Keep riding and let us know how it goes.

Welcome.

Hi all,

Thanks for the welcome. My GZ 250 is a year 2000 with only 2000 miles on it. It looks almost brand new...no dents or dings and it came with all the add-ons that I really wanted like a windscreen, sissy bar/backrest/luggage rack, saddle bags and a crash bar. Whoever had it before me obviously wanted it to look like a baby Harley.

Jonathan...nice to know someone is in my neck of the woods. I'm sure the traffic in Dalton is a lot better than around Kennesaw. I got out today and rode a bit, but since I live near Town center mall, the Xmas traffic was terrible. Hopefully we can meet up at one of the rallies or once I get better at riding I can venture up to Dalton for a burger.

If you ever come up this way, I'll buy you that burger.
That's about all we have: fastfood burgers and carpet.
