Total custom
This is a very expensive toy in anyone's world. Beautifully built and finished just the way the owner wanted it. This bike can make a statement anywhere it is parked. S an S engine is 124 cu. in. or a whooping 2032 cc's. rear tire is 280 mm wide and he can spin it anytime at almost any speed.
Notice even the rear sprocket for the belt is machined to match the wheels. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Re: Total custom
Ever watch "Orange County Choppers" on Sky. It's all about making these monsters. An interesting programme, watching them make them from the ground up. :2tup:

In the US the show is called American Choppers but it about orange county choppers. Me and my Dad watch it all the time. This week starts a new season JR vs SR. Can't wait!

Whoops ....... It's called "American Choppers" in England too. My mistake. I just got confused with the location. Trouble is, I haven't got Sky, so I can only watch it when I go on holiday to my daughter's in England.

Re: Total custom
Entertaining show. Crappy bikes.
One guy spent 125k for a custom bike and the steering head broke off at 60 mph. He's a quadriplegic now. The ensuing lawsuit revealed that the bike had a show title and wasn't supposed to ridden on the street. The guy lost the suit. I've had the experience of riding an OCC chopper once. Rode like shit and handled like shit. You can keep them.  My 1996 Suzuki VS1400 chopper was by far a better bike and about 100k less. This photo was sent to me by the guy who I sold it to in Spokane, Washington

Re: Total custom
I thought the show was cancelled. I enjoyed it the first few seasons before Vinnie, Cody and Rick quit. I especially liked the interplay between Sr., Jr. and Mikey. After it was a success, it seemed that Sr. (and Jr.?) got a little too full of himself (themselves) and didn't share the wealth/credit with the rest of the guys. To their credit, the AC producers showed the full degree of bitterness/douchiness when Sr. and Vinnie fell out and Vinnie left.
I hadn't heard about the guy crashing the (apparently defective) chopper. I always see them riding the theme bikes around the shop - I had no idea these were strictly for "show." IMO, waste of time and money if you can't ride them. I could swear they made one or two for specific individuals who fully intended to ride them.
