Brakes, lights, horn, tires, m/c for any leaks.
That is just so sad. I do that prior to every ride. The inspection is probably the only time some of these bikes are checked for functioning lights etc. There are 2 main reasons IMHO why so few riders check their bikes regularly. 1: too dang lazy. 2: bikes have become as reliable as most cars so why check anything that works all the time.

This was for my last years CAR inspection, no emissions test in my county. I don't know if a TX motorcycle inspection costs different. But I can't see how the charge would be much different. (Car insp: All lights, test drive for brakes, horn, tire wear, gas cap pressure, wipers, exhaust system for visible leaks, mirrors, fluid levels, valid insurance; I think I covered everything.) EDIT: OK, I did a search and found the TX motorcycle insp. is $14.50, also cars are now $14.50 plus an added charge for counties that require emission testing. (I might have been wrong on the $12, maybe it was $14.50, but $100 for an M/C inspection can't be right).

Re: headlight hi/low switch

I just did a search for GA motorcycle insp cost. "$100" (also for cars, with an added fee if emissions need check!) GA motorcyclists/motorists are being ripped-off big time by the state. We (I) have gone way off topic, perhaps this subject deserves its own thread if we wish to continue.
