Re: here i am

Just wait till you hit 87miles on the GZ if you think 70 is scary :rawk: !! The gz is ok fast! Or am I the only one who hit that speed on this forum? Or the only one to addmit it?? (Wanna guess why I dont wanna get a sport bike!) (Also I just love cruzers)

:2tup:

So whats new with the GZ?

Also dannylighting I thought you where about my hight I am sure you will have no problems on a sport bike I see ppl taller then me tippy toeing it its just another reason why crusers are better then sport bikes! But they are ridable!

Re: here i am

On my travels lately I spotted a Ninja 400. New for the 2011 year. Looks like Kawasaki is bucking the trend for bigger faster is better and making a more sane bike that doesn't go 160 MPH. It's about time too.

But how much plastic body work does it have ??

What we really need is an Eliminator 400 standard.
.......or bring back the Eliminator 600.

I still am kicking myself for letting that one go.
With a seat change, it might have been the perfect street bike. SIGH.

Re: here i am

Bingo, I found an article on it. Google Cycle Canada for ride report. Just found it and haven't read it yet so that's all I can say. Hope this 400 hits the U. S. market too. Fills in the big gap between the 250 and too much bike.

Easy - I had a Suzuki Madura V4 700 to this day I wish I never had let go of that bike. That was my favorite bike I owned!

Re: here i am

If you want more power and height & weight are issues, consider a Triumph Bonneville. I just picked up an '09 SE and it handles as easily as my GZ (much better, actually), and has plenty of power. The seat is only a liitle higher than that of the GZ (I don't recall the exact height at the moment), and weighs 480 lb. dry.

It's reported to be very new rider and/or vertically challenged person friendly, and, as I said, handles like a dream. You'll want the SE with the 17 inch mag wheels, though, not the T100 with the 19 inch spoke jobs. Those smaller mags are what help make the SE handle so well, especially for the wee ones amongst us.

I know you haven't been on in a while. If you and your fried should want to come to bike week here in the North Myrtle Beach Area between May 13th and May 22nd then let me know and we can meet up. I'll let you test drive my V-Star 650 Classic. You'll find the seat with the back rest I added to be quite comfortable on long rides. Height would be perfect for you. PM me if you're interested. By the way, I'm old enough to be your father/grand father so you don't have to worry about me chasing you around. lol
