Got the tank off and sure enough two wires were touching the cylinder head and had heat damage. Taped them up, zip-tied them taught against the rest of the wires, new fuses and back in business! Thanks everyone for your help.

Now just imagine how much money you saved yourself ( and how good it felt) to do that fix, compared to bringing it into the shop for repair?
