While changing front brake pads in GZ250
For those who are changing the front brake pads for the first time on thir GZ250. Once you take off the caliper, Do not remove the old pads instead use a screw driver or pliers and insert between the old brake pads and twist to seperate/ move apart the two pads. On one side of the caliper there is a piston that pushes the brake pads and is hydrolic so you have to really push hard to move it back. I found needle nose pliers easier to work with. As i was doing the first time and in the service manual this thing is not mentioned so I was stuck as there was no space for the new brake pads to fit in. Anyway managed by calling the dealership and used the old pads to make space. Also remember to remove the metal piece from the old pads and use on the new ones.
