Return to topic

When one posts a reply and you let it time out and return to the topic you replied to........it returns you to the top of the page you were previously on......or the first post in the topic.

Could that be changed so that it returns you to the LAST post in the thread......which would normally be the reply that you just entered ??

Right side of the page above the 1st post in the thread look for "Previous topic | First unread post | Next topic "

First unread post.

First unread post.
It appears that when you are replying to the last post in the thread, "First unread post" is not presented as one of the options when it throws you back to the top.

I just went to the first message of this thread. Since YOURS was the last posted message, one of the options presented near the upper right corner was "First unread post". Fine.

When I finish this reply and submit it, THIS MESSAGE will be the last post....and since I am the author it can't be "unread" so........after submission when it flips me back to the thread, to the first post, the "First unread post" option does NOT appear on the screen......since there are none....unread posts, that is.

Clear as mud ?? :??:

Re: Return to topic

When I click Submit on a reply to a topic, such as I'm about to do (this is from the quick reply box on the bottom), the very next page I see after the server processes the reply, is a jump from the page I was typing on, straight to the actual post I just added in the topic. Now, understand, this isn't NORMAL action for phpBB. I added a MOD to the forum to bypass the wait page (one that says "Your post has been added, you can go to the message or the forum"). The way it now does it is to automatically select "going to the message" right from the Submit button.

Re: Return to topic

Okay. I see what you're talking about. All of them work the way they're supposed to except the Post Reply page. It just goes to the top of the thread.

Lemme look at it.
