Chain Slack
I know there is another topic about chain slack, but I just want to be clear about this because the suggested slack at the service manual seems weird.
According to the SM, the slack should be between 5-15 mm or 0.2 to 06 inches. This is certainly not enough slack, I adjusted my bike to this spec and I'm pretty sure I would damage the chain if I run like that because is VERY tide. Any help ? Hey T,
5-15mm is .2- .6 inches of slack. I think a half inch is pretty good. I usually just let the chain set slack and only lift it upwards and measure. It's been a few years, but I think thats about normal for all of em. Brad
