Idle to high
Ok so I have a 1999 GZ250 that has been bobbed out. When I purchased it I knew very little about bikes and I have learned a lot. I just got it running but the idle is very high no matter in what gear. The idle air screw is all the way down not allowing any extra air into the carb. The breather box was replaced with a pod filter before I bought it if that helps. I also just cleaned all the jets and replaced the rubber seals. Any idea as to what is causing the high idle?

I have checked for vacuum leaks around the intake and the intake. The bike has been changed so much I'm not sure if there are any vacuum hoses on the carb itself that need to be plugged. I'll check the owners manual and see.

check the idle stop screw on the side of the carb it has a plastic white knob should be about 1/4 inch gap between the lever & the base of the carb. If you have high handle hars the cables will be to short. thank you larry
