How to set CAM chain tensioner?
Maybe I'm trying to make this more complicated than it is.... I've read the manual and find its description a little vague can anyone give a more in-depth how to on setting correct tension on the cam chain?

Tension or timing?
Timing is done by mark visible through the little bolt on left side engine case and the mark on chain sprocket. Tension..... Isn't that spring loaded??? You don't adjust... just release the magical spring and the arc of plastic plops against the chain. Done. I didn't look at manual. It just seems that's how they had done it for years before the first GZ250 motor. |

Yes I guess that is how the tensioner is supposed to work. Was unclear because I had taken it out and it didn't move at all. however I see now that if you turn it with a flat head screwdriver it does move and spring back. So is there some kind of ratcheting mechanize in there that stops it from moving away from the chain once set?
