How to clean kill switch?

The "kill switch" on my 2010 GZ250 needs cleaning and I don't see how to remove it. The manual doesn't have any detail on this part of the bike.
I believe this is a common problem with this model where I have to occasionally flip the kill switch on and off a couple of times before it will start.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Try the easy way first. Buy yourself an aerosol can of contact cleaner. Blast the switch around the red bit (to get the liquid into the housing), work the switch a couple of times, blast it again, then let it dry. If that doesn'y work (and it usually does), you've lost nothing by trying.

Once you got it working, just leave it 'on' and switch the engine off with the key. I never use the kill switch.
