I don't understand this
Gotta lead up to what I don't understand. Was at the post office picking up a parcel from Ohio. Fairly heavy and the postage was $43.20. Not a problem considering cross border shipping and all that stuff.
Now to what I don't understand. A fellow in front of me was mailing a bicycle to California. HUH!! Something wrong with my reasoning or the other guy's brains. The bike was made in Taiwan and shipped to Vancouver B.C to a dealer. Dealer would not ship to the U.S. Fair enough. Said other guy is footing the bill to mail a bike after he pays for it, picks it up, drives home to Squamish just mail the bike away. Are bicycles no longer sold in California?? Mail a gift card, send a money order, send cash but a bike!!! I was almost that silly years ago but came to my senses thankfully. Was going to Greyhound a bike up to Whitehorse in the Yukon. Got smart and sent gift cards instead. The person got to pick out her bike and any added stuff that she wanted. Case closed. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

It is a wonderful thing that you came to your senses in time. Let it never be said that too much snow has altered your grey matter!! It could be that the bike was a low emission, no carbon footprint gift for a tree hugger unlike any available for sale in the great state of Californication.

No real snow here however the rest of the GWN is really suffering big time.
Mentioning a carbon footprint is funny. Shipping a bike to various locations on the planet is likely going to eliminate any emissions savings by pedaling around California. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

We had a pretty good snowfall yesterday but still not what the rest of the country is getting. Travel safely folks, there are no do overs after a mishap.
