Changing Sprockets - Throws Off Speedo/Odo. Readings?
A buddy of mine told me he's heard stories of people swaping out sprockets for better acceleration, but it ended up throwing off their speedometer and actually put more miles on their odometer.
Is this true? If the speedo/odometer sensors are located at one of the wheels, I believe they would read the same, but if they're inside the engine/tranny, they would probably read different.... Can anyone prove if this is false or true?
