changing master cylinder cover

i hear some people say you can get air in there if you not carefull, just wondering if that is true. the place i got my new bike from just happend to have this nice brand new chrome plated master cylinder cover for the bike they found in the junk door, it has a little eagle on it that says free spirit or something like that. and its looks really nice when i set it on top of the old cover.

just wondering when i go to change it out if i really need to be carefull about any thing or if i just unscrew the 2 screws and screw the new one back on and that's it. i don't plan on pulling the break lever or any thing like that when i change it or have the bike running or any thing like that.

thanks.
