New rider, New owner
Hello all, New rider here with my first bike, a 2000 GZ250 with 1620 miles on it. I had to drain the gas and put some fresh in it, it was barely running, but now it gets my 260 lbs up to 60, so that's not bad. I intend to stay off the highway anyways. just back roads for me. It could probably use a tune up. Looking forward to putting some good miles on it while learning to ride. The only bad thing I can say about is that it's pink lol.

Hey, welcome! They're really a great little bike to start on, especially if you're just taking back roads. Not a bad little find for the age and mileage, either. Congrats!

Thanks! I'm having a blast. I'm by no means a speed demon, so the low power isn't a problem at al. I put a100 miles on it the past couple of days practicing shifting and turning and of course stopping. Just sort of concentrating on competently operating, and the hypervigilance that riding seems to require. I've been binging all the you tube channels about do's and don'ts, road strategy, etc..
