Experimental Sight glass 14mm
I am experimenting with some sight glass and I think I got the right dimensions. So far the opening is about 14mm and I tried to see which sight glasses will work and not.
I will post some pictures 2morrow so people can critique and get feedback. I installed it in my gz250 and so far there is no leaks for the past 2 months. I got 2 extra ones, so if you really, really, and I mean REALLY need a sight glass, and you don't have a working front brake, then just pm me with your address and I will sent one for free. just post your thoughts and tell me if it leaks oil or not. This is experimental, so i assume no responsibilities. Its just a sight glass, 2 o-rings, and a thin nut. sorry, i only got 2 and its for the people who want to try it out. http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/...psefbv97k4.jpg Login or Register to Remove Ads |

here is what you will likely receive.
pIC this pict is missing another o-ring, you will need 2 o-rings cuss the depth of the opening is a tad too big. I can't the other oring ,but I hope I have an extra lying around. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

I purchase the this on AliExpress (china's amazon) and it was LOT 5 M27x1.5mm sight oil. You can buy this at ebay, but you spend like $1 more.
I recommend that you buy 2 o-rings, cuss the 1 o-ring is like 1mm too thin. It was leaking oil, so i added another o-ring to solve the problem. Now after like 4 months, it does not leak oil. Login or Register to Remove Ads |
