How do I replace the stator

I have to replace the stator on my 2007 GZ250. The service manual is horrible. Can anybody direct me to and instruction manual on how to do this? Thanks.

There are some great vids out there on how to replace the stator and rectifier if the service manual doesn't give you enough info. All in all, it is relatively simple with a little mechanical ability. Just Google it. There is one for a larger model of Suzuki but the procedures are very much the same. You can order the parts from Ricks. I would replace the rectifier as well because if the stator went bad, chances are pretty good that the rectifier has been damaged too. Parts are going to run around $200.

hi there is a good chance of the stator will go bad again, to prevent that from going bad again, fill the oil up to the top of the site glass when its up right than lean it a little to the kick stand & add a little more oil so you dont see the oil drop

NO.........Too high a oil level will put excess oil into the airbox & ruin air filter.

Yes, there's a level mark at the side of the sight glass. Fill oil to this level with the bike upright.
