The timing is controlled by the CDi box. I do not think you can adjust the timing yourself.

ignition timing can be mod to advance or retard than the stock....and as far as i know....there are 3 ways to do it
1.buy aftermarket CDI (this is the easiest way) 2.modding camshaft gear nut holes 3.slide pickup coil little more advance timing can add some low end torque (and i did this one) Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Yup, looks like the ignition coil assembly is a sealed unit (according to the parts manual)
