Met Alan C for a ride

Alan and I met up for a ride on Angeles Crest Highway today, 60 miles of sweepers, tight curves, mountain vistas, and sunshine, with a high point of close to 8,000 feet above sea level. A couple of years ago we had that huge fire--the Station Fire--that burned half the San Gabriel Mountain range. The ACH runs the length of it, right along the spine most of the way. The highway closed during the fire and has been closed in part or in whole ever since. The entire length just reopened a couple weeks ago.

Here's Alan

Another picture of some of the burn.

Here's a pic from a previos ride last time it was still open.

Aaln took some pictures too. He'll post when he can. Good ride. Great weather!
