anti-theft of contents of saddle bags
I was looking for ideas of anti-theft devices (or something) to keep people out of your saddle bags while parked somewhere.
I was thinking about putting a sticker on the bags thats reads "Live snake inside, NO SHIT!!" and put a couple of rubber snakes inside. IDEAS???? :??:

Failing that, get some kind of lock or locking bags. The snake idea isn't too bad either. I have heard of people putting mouse or rat traps in there too. Never did think that was a good idea though, 'cause you might find the whole bike trashed.

 I don't think they'll buy that...if somebody really wanna steal, they would do anything.
I agree with Easy, they'll do whatever they can and your bike end up trashed! Some people are crazy out there, everywhere i can say. So you might just consider getting a lock, secure locks for bags! Drive safe...

Ha ha I went through that before and someone came up with the stickers "Radioactive" (they will buy that on a van or truck but not on a motorcycle, I'd think) and "Biohazard" or "Medical Waste". How about "AIDS Blood Samples Courier Association" ?

I was really meaning this as a joke. I only keep my cheap ass rain suit and a back pack in my saddle bags all the time. Would not bother me if someone stole them. I know a thrift store that sells back packs for a dollar and Lowe's has cheap rain suits for $11.99.

![]() 80 miles in light to medium rain. Cheap rain suit leaked from the first mile.....ewe...wet. Then it started coming apart from the wind.....shiver.....55 degrees isn't cold........unless you are soaked to the bone and going 50 mph. ![]() WORST 3 hours of my life. Got home cold, tired and numb and this was behind a fairly good windshield. The moral of this story is: Get a GOOD rain suit OR just decide that you will NEVER ride in the rain. Riding wet is the PITS.
