Intermittent Spark
What I’ve done motorcycle
Hey guys thanks for the add… please help, -I just bought my first motorcycle it’s a 2007 Suzuki gz250 this is my first bike… Intermittent spark- I’m on my 4th spark plug, I’m on my 3rd coil. I’ve checked fuses and see if power is getting to my fuse box terminals, I’ve by passed the kill switch, by passed the kick stand switch and clutch switch, I’m getting 2.98 ohms on my ground on ignition key off… I’ve checked all grounds and coil mostly might be missing a couple, also battery is good, so it seems. Plug boot is good, and also the wire as well. I will say speedometer gound wire is reading 0.04 allong with the clutch switch depressed reading 0.04 One more thing I scuffed up the plug on the clutch switch and and I got spark I haven’t de pinned it yet…went back to no spark later on And it wouldn’t come back What is it??!! It’s bugging the heck out of me!! Login or Register to Remove Ads Last edited by Gz2502007; 11-18-2024 at 01:54 PM. |

In general, I'd suspect a bad connection, or a short, but I'm having a hard time deciphering the measurements you described.
What does this mean? "2.98 ohms on my ground on ignition key off" You mean you measure almost 3 ohms from battery minus to the frame? Or were you measuring volts? Not understanding. And what units are these measurements supposed to be? "speedometer gound wire is reading 0.04 allong with the clutch switch depressed reading 0.04" Volts? Ohms? Amps? And measured under what circumstances? Login or Register to Remove Ads |
