If you can get under the seat, you can get the gas tank off. Drain the gas and take it to the locksmith.

I lost my scooter key at work and have yet to find it and that scooter is long gone!

When I get any vehicle besides expensive chip keys, I make 5 keys for it so I have 6.
Then you put one of those keys in your sock drawer, one on key rack, one on my girlfriend's key chain, one at work and the last one is one you keep on your key chain.

Also I have my girlfriends and her mom's keys and we all have each others keys so we can unlock each other. It happens more than you want it too.
