Thanks Alantf. Thats what happens when one looks at the posts after a long work day. Those little gray cells just do not work. Sorry Studysession. I have removed the seat lock before. I was working on the GZ and laid the key in the tray under the seat and put the seat on. Just as it snapped shut, I remembered the key. OOPS!!! I will talk to a local motorcycle shop and see what they have to say about the problem. Sorry Studysession for steering you wrong with the gas cap idea.
