A little more info then, how many tanks have you run through the carb since you got it out of storage?

I mean, it sounds and feels as simple as an idle mixture problem. The choke circuits are pretty simple but they can get gummed up and stick open. But that usually causes problems at speed, and not keeping it running at idle. If you've only ran a couple of tanks of gas through the bike since you opened her up this season, then some old sediment may have moved deeper into the carb and you're just not getting the gas flow that you need. Can you handle pulling the carb and giving it another good cleaning yourself?

In my younger years, if it would stay running at speed. I would find an open piece of road and keep the revs up for as long as possible and drive as long and as far as I could without stopping. (That being said, there is nothing quite like pushing your bike for several miles with a fogged up helmet on your head...)
