Yes, listen to the engine. When the engine is HOT set it 'til it sounds nice and smooth, and you can't hear the individual thumps of the engine. Suzuki recommend 1200 to 1400 RPM. Remember that your car adles at around 860 RPM, so if you listen to that and set the bike around 50% higher, that's the starting point.
