Seems like overkill
Suzuki say every 3000 miles (and they're the people who make the bike, and don't want to pay out on the warranty) Do you change the filter at every oil change? Most folk go by the 3000 in the handbook, with no ill effects reported. Looks like you're just putting money into the pockets of the oil company & filter manufacturers. Still - it's your money you're wasting.
