Hey how long should a battery last on average?

I got somewhere between 3 and 4 years with mine but i quit on me last week

Does that sound about right or could something be draining it?

I recharged it and it worked twice before quitting on me again but i've ordered anther one anyway

Just wanted to check if this all sounds normal

...also on a side note have any of you guys taken a dent out of a tank with that heat and then cool really fast method?
