Hi and welcome! I'm new to riding too, so I can relate. I've been thinking SV650 or BMW F650 in the future, but I want to experience all the GZ has to offer in terms of riding experience right now.

I was worried about the power, though. From what I read, it sounded like you did a wheelie? That's the kind of thing I'm worried about. Those bikes look awesome, but they also look very dangerous! I'm thinking maybe after a year or so of experience.

Glad you have the mechanical background and the friends with a motorcycle shop! That would be too awesome. Have fun and ride safe.
