The wood i was speaking of is right above the chrome guard on the side between it and the leather i inserted (2) 2X2 p.t. boards under the leather so the bags didn't sag. I like the way the bags are dead level with the bottom of the rear seat. but even after making new holes and re-strapping the bags they drooped a little so i added a blocking method to hold the straps and bags up.
