The tires themselves wouldn't have been much of a loss at the time. They had 20,000 kms on them when we left for our trip and I figured they would be done for when we got home. Rear already had a plug in it and the wear bars creep into site by the time we got home. Ordered new tires and the rear plug started to leak a day later. Excellant timing on my part. 25,000 kms on both tires is about normal for my Vstrom and my riding habits.
