I don't know why people just don't put Stabil in the fuel at every fill up. You only use about 2 oz and it avoids many problems. It'll help keep the fuel system clean, avoid ethanol problems and, if you should happen to not be able to ride for a few weeks for some reason, will avoid the gum up problems. I put Stabil in my gas cans for the lawn equipment, my boat, my truck (which I use rarely) and my bike. I've done this for as long as I can remember. It's cheap insurance. Due to a back problem I had my boat laid up for a over a year and when I could take it out again it started right up and the 85 gallons of fuel were fine. Think of the money you can save on Seafoam, Berrymans and the time and aggravation lost.
