People who aren't breaking the law have nothing to worry about.
Same as car check points. Just have your crap the way it should be and it doesn't matter. The reason they are good revenue makers is because so many people are skirting by without the proper stuff. If people would follow the rules, there would be no reason to push enforcement, regardless of administration.

I was pulled over last fall at a stop/check point where they were just checking for valid MC licenses (endorsement, I guess, in the Excited States). They said about a third of those riding had no such license. I'm glad to have them off the road. They also go on truck check blitzes where they check for working brakes, etc. About 1/2 the trucks inspected are towed off the road every time, usually for bad brakes. Seems a couple of people die every year around here because they are hit by a runaway truck. I enjoy chatting with the Popo when I get stopped at a road check, 'cause I'm sober, I'm licensed, and my vehicles are roadworthy.
