Did you have to experience any of the quota roads or trucker roads? On the truck roads you can generally go as fast as you want but the roads are in bad shape. The quota roads are much nicer and aren't usually enforced either. Although the quota at the end is sometimes ridiculous. Also, I don't know if you encountered this, but we were cruising along the way to Monterrey and I was keeping up with my average time based on the kilometers as they ticked away on the road signs. Suddenly, after maybe an hour of driving, I noticed that a couple of the road signs began showing that we were farther away than we had been before.
That's bad wording.
Where we were once 250kms away, we drove and drove and the signs read that we were still 260kms away. So, they aren't right. That's what I meant to say.
