@blaine ... Height is not 15-1/4, it is 10.

I got following reply from seller, when asked details about the bags.

"These are real leather and are adjustable. for all practical purposes they will fit any bike. no support is needed.
The bags themselves are fairly soft but the back of each back has a plastic insert so it stays stiff and will not interfere with wheels
