Like it says, it's a tax that the owner has to pay every year for every vehicle he owns. For bikes it's between £15 and £70 ($23 and $105) depending on size. The GZ would be £33 ($50) a year. Cars are from £20 and £435 ($30 and $653) depending on emissions. When you pay the tax you get a certificate that has to be displayed on the vehicle - either on the windscreen of a car, or in a special waterproof holder on a bike.
