I think I got to get more miles under my belt before I start thinking about another bike.
One issue I have with touring on the Strat is the cruising range. BMW's look like they have 6.5 gallon gas tanks, mine is allegedly 4.5 but shows E after 3.2 or so. Given the pisspoor mileage I get, my range is about 150-200 miles before I need to visit Mr. Mobil. This is not inherently a problem (I like a little rest after three hours or so) but, as you guys know, when you are out in the middle of nowhere, you can't expect a gas station to be sitting right there at mile 180. Sometimes there's no gas at all for 150 miles! So you really end up stopping a lot more often. Not a huge complaint, but it's the little things that irritate. I'm assuming that 1300cc's will get a lot better mileage than the Stratobeast as well, although the Yammie does okay on the freeway.
