Thanks for the welcome. I do like the way Lynda's bike looks and I imagine all that space in the trunk would come in very handy. I tend to carry a lot of contingency items with me so this looks like...

Thanks for all the info. I am making a checklist so I am sure to cover the items you mentioned. I would rather look silly with a checklist than buy a bike with big problems.

Hi all,
I am going to check out a 2005 GZ this weekend. It has 8000 miles and the guy is asking 1750 which seems reasonable enough to me. The guy selling it claims that it has never been dropped....

Thanks for your reply and sharing your experience with your back and different types of bikes. I doubt if I will be taking long rides. We have a dog rescue and that pretty much precludes being away...
