remember max power is @ 8000 rpm red-line @ 8500 rpm. 45 mph = 4500 rpm when computed to feet / min 60 mph is 2400 ft/min not much less than a Harley which turns less rpm 3000 rpm but has a 4 inch...

after 5 years
here is a brief opinion concluded after 5 yrs of riding the marauder 250
current mileage : 31400 km
highest attained speed 135 k/hr ( 84 mph )
best economy : 160 k / 5 litres ( 90 mpg )

Fall riding
Be careful after a fall rain. The roads may be dry when you set out but the back roads which are tree lined may have wet leaves and can be treacherous on the curves.

Hey Ram . The gz will rev to 8000 rpm in 5th gear ( 130 k/hr ) but that is where max output occurs. My buddy suggests keep at 6000 ( 100 k/hr) for cruising and you will never kill it.
