Just don't forget to empty the float bowl before you remove the screws. It's not tragic if you forget, but it is messy.

Just back out this screw (upper arrow) a little and the fuel will drain out...

I'm not sure where I read it on here, but I'd swear I read that 91 octane was the way to go. I will dump the gas and refill with 87. I'm really glad to know that. Thanks mrlmd1. After doing a search...

You should NOT have started any mods if it wasn't running right in the first place.

And all the "performance" mods make it run...

I pull a ton of those c-clips off at work. I usually just stick a small flat head screwdriver in one of the two slots that are opposite the opening and pry it off. I've never damaged one doing it...

Perhaps I should clarify that I don't have the 16 tooth sprocket on yet. I bought it, but have not installed it yet. I do use 5th through the hills and it pulls up them well at 55 to 60. I'm not sure...

A little clarification might be in order. Are you climbing those mountains in 4th NOW, with the stock gearing? If so, the 16T would definitely help get you a little more speed from 4th.
