Fuel leak/evap canister
I have a 2003 california model. Recently it started leaking fuel from the evap canister under the bike. Any Ideas?? The manual say to service the canister every 2000 miles, but it is not able to...

Wow I am glad you are ok.... I was having the same problem with my shifter. I use synthetic oil and it helped alot. I also use a multi purpose spray lubricant on the shift lever about every month...

forget the rain gear
Welcome and Happy Birthday!! For now forget the rain gear and save for the MSF class. It is much more beneficial and it will make you a better rider. Enjoy your new bike.

Seafoam?? Is it any good??
Has anyone used the fuel additive seafoam?? I have heard that is very good but have not used it. Any input would be helpful, Thanks Mary :)

how I fixed my shifter
Please see my post under the maintenence section. In a nutshell it was the pivot point for the shift lever. It was sticking so bad my husband had to ride it back home and get the car to pick me up....
