I have taken them apart & cut 2 or 3 coils out of the springs.Depending on the style of shock will determine how they come apart.Some aftermarket shocks are easy,while some OEM are a pain to get...

cheers for that. yet another question... my bikes set up for eye to eye type shocks. does that mean i'm stuck with that particular type or is it easy enough to modify the bottom to fit the "clevis"...

Cheers for the tip. Now on the off chance that for what ever reason I don't go with them, is it possible to compress the springs and shorten the shocks?

i managed to do it. but hate the height of the bike with them on. anyone know of a way to still have a lower bike but also has suspenion

lowering question
ok so basically the previous owner of my bike took the rear suspension off and replaced them with short rods to the point where the seat is just above the rear wheel. i put the suspension back on...
