Re: Highway Riding on the GZ
I use mine to ride to work: 30 miles of 65mph highway. Doesn't like it, but I can keep up with traffic (most of the time). Sometimes the little thing will do 75 - 80 (I've taken it on trips on 75mph...

Re: White wall tires for the gz 250?
I bet it can be done. I've just looked around a little and I've found a couple that might work. I know that you don't need to follow the exact specifications on tire size that Suzuki lists for this...

This thread: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2303&hilit=exhaust (http://www.gz250bike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2303&hilit=exhaust)
shows how one of the posters here did an exhaust mod for the same reasons...

Re: hard bags on ebay
Funny, I was just looking around the forums for some of the muffler mods that people have done around here. I'm looking for something more in the way of improving the aesthetics and getting more...

Re: hard bags on ebay
Yeah. One thing I definitely have to think about is that this is my only form of transportation for the moment, and I don't want to have to take a backpack every time I go to buy groceries (although...

Re: hard bags on ebay
Sure. However, drop the bike on them and they wouldn't even slow it down. They'd just vaporize.[/quote]
Well, I'll just try to be sure that I don't drop it then...

Water Warrior:
I've got the Suzuki soft bags; I've had them for about two years now, and I'm really not too impressed with them. I just figured that as much camping/day-tripping as I do, the hard...

Re: Pain in the a$$
My limit seems to be one hour. I try to get up and stretch every 45 minutes if I'm not in a hurry. This thing ain't made for comfort; it's made for fuel economy and in-town commuting. That said, I've...

Re: Front Forks - Has anyone re-painted?
Oh, then it shouldn't be a really big deal unless you find some serious rust damage when you start sanding the paint off. I thought you meant the chrome parts.

Re: Front Forks - Has anyone re-painted?
From my understanding, chroming is a SERIOUS process, and can be quite expensive. I think you'd be better off just replacing them. I don't imagine they'd be too expensive (bikebandit.com has them...

Update on the Kenda tires.
I just took the bike out for the first long ride (around 300 miles round trip) on them and I don't really notice a big difference in the way they handle from the stock...

A couple of weeks ago, it got pretty cold here in the desert, like around freezing. My GZ wouldn't start at all; I eventually wore down the battery trying to start it. I...

This is the same problem I've been having. I just fill up around every 180-200 miles and don't worry about it anymore.
